New Regional Rep in Berlin

Hello everyone! My name is Robert Jett and I’m excited to get started as the new organizer for the Yale Club of Berlin. I was born and raised in the (understatedly beautiful) state of Maryland and currently live in Berlin. After graduating from Yale College in 2020 (“the COVID class”) with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, I worked in a variety of professional fields: first at an urban planning research think tank, then as a “digital nomad” content writer for startups, and most recently at a “go-to-market” agency based in Berlin. Prior to moving to Germany, I lived for nearly two years in São Paulo, Brazil, interspersed with brief stints living and traveling through the Balkan countries and Southeast Asia. These experiences studying, working, and traveling inform much of what I hope to accomplish with this group in Berlin. We are in a period of extraordinary global change, and the kinds of events made possible by groups like this are a great way to give a shape and structure to that change. Outside of work, I enjoy writing poetry, making (somewhat experimental) music, and exploring the many peculiarities of life in Berlin. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can!

A warm thank you to Hans-Christian Siller for his tireless work in the Berlin group over the past several years. Hans-Christian will still be at upcoming events, as a happy participant. You can connect with Robert through the Berlin signal chat!
