 t be in Berlin to lead the travel program trip\, as they need to fly back 
 to the states for surgery. Yale Lifelong Learning and Travel has however h
 as arranged to have Professor Thomas F. Remington ’78 Ph.D. speak on Wed
 nesday\, October 18th in the afternoon from 3:30 – 5:30 pm\, at the sam
 e venue (The Westin Grand in Berlin).\n&nbsp\;\nTHE WONDER YEARS: REBUILDI
 NG GERMANY AFTER THE WAR\nThomas F. Remington is Visiting Professor of Gov
 ernment at Harvard and Goodrich C. White Professor Emeritus of Political S
 cience at Emory University. Dr. Remington is author of the recently publis
 hed book\, The Returns to Power: A Political Theory of Economic Inequality
  (Oxford\, 2023) as well as numerous books and articles on Russian politic
 s\, including The Politics of Inequality in Russia (Cambridge\, 2011) and 
 Presidential Decree Power in Russia: A Comparative Perspective (Cambridge\
 , 2014). His current research addresses the problem of economic inequality
  in the United States\, Russia\, China and Germany.\nHe was chair of the p
 olitical science department at Emory from 2001-2007. He has been a member 
 of the Boards of Directors of the National Council for Eurasian and East E
 uropean Research and the American Association for the Advancement of Slavi
