Dear fellow Yalies and friend of Yale in Germany,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the winter weather (or a cozy indoor activity) on this rather grey weekend. It was for times like this that FebClub was created at Yale in the 1970's, and for over ten years now, we have had Feb Club Emeritus to warm our spirits in locations all around the globe. The past two years have moved the revelry online, but this year we're back!

From the Feb Club Emeritus website: Every year, Yale alumni and their friends gather around the world every night of February — in small groups and large, in cities, towns, hamlets and villages, on every continent. Why do we do it? Simple. Because it’s fun to get together. That’s it. There is no agenda. There is no plan. Feb Club is simply a way for Yalies the world over to get together. This approach has worked since the first worldwide Feb Club in 2008.

Since then, we have had more than 1,000 parties and have welcomed more than 30,000 guests all with one aim – to hang out with an amazing, diverse, vibrant, curious and fun group of people from all Yale College classes, all Yale graduate and professional schools and all walks of life. Feb Club Emeritus has only three rules: no speeches, no fundraising, it’s just a party. It's that simple. https://febclubemeritus.com

FEB CLUB IN DÜSSELDORF FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH

Jens and Jan in Düsseldorf  have organized a first-Friday-of-the-month meet-up at the Williams Bar in Düsseldorf. This is your opportunity to go on a road trip if you’ve never spent time in Düsseldorf. If you are from the Rhineland, definitely attend because you are a small group and it would be great for you to meet each other!

Please RSVP: laura.sprague@aya.yale.edu.

INTEREST IN A NATIONWIDE ZOOM COCKTAIL HOUR OF CHEER?

Last year we had an online Feb-Club with alumni from all over Europe. If there is interest in grabbing a beverage of choice and meeting up, I am happy to create the link and organize this. It is hard to gauge if you all are done with Zoom or still find it cool... I stand at the ready with my kitchen cocktail shaker if there is interest - let me know and I'll be happy to organize this! Proposed date February 22nd? Drop a line to president@yaleclub.de.

If you would like to organize an in-person Feb Club in your city, it is very simple. Just post on our Facebook page and drop me a line so I can get a quick mail out to all members.
