With the generous support of our members, The Yale Club of Germany continues to be able to sponsor post-graduate research fellowships at Yale through the Bavarian American Academy in Munich.
The Bavarian American Academy and The Yale Club of Germany invite doctoral researchers to apply for one of two available Post-Graduate Research Fellowships at the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition at Yale University.
During a one-month research stay, up to two fellows will get the opportunity to conduct research and participate in the activities of the Gilder Lehrman Center. They will be in close contact to the experts on site and have access to all of Yale University’s libraries. Congratulations to this year’s scholars, Hanna Sophia Hörl (LMU München) und Lisa Seuberth (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg). For more information on their specific projects, see the BAA website here.
Thank you so much to all who have paid dues/donated to the club to make this possible! There are almost 700 members in Germany, so if we all donate the price of a coffee-to-go, we can continue to support this exchange. If you are interested in supporting this fantastic program, please just put “BAA stipend” in the subject line of your (in Germany tax-deductible) donation.

With that, I encourage you to watch our website or the signal/Facebook groups for upcoming local events, as well as the Munich Dialogues on Democracy website for the Fall Program of in-person and online events.
May your summer be sun-kissed (!) and rejuvenating. Hope to see you at events in the fall.
Boola Boola,
Bartley
