Munich, 1 February 2026

Dear Yale family in Germany,

I hope this finds you well and warm. Our Annual General Meeting is coming up in April - we wanted to get a save-the-date as well as initial information out to everyone now. In addition, the Yale Blue Center for Global Strategic Assessment has signed a partnership with the Munich Security Conference and has an invitation that may be of interest:

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

APRIL 18TH 2026 IN MUNICH

We'll be meeting in person again this year, and we have confirmation that all of our regional representatives (Berlin, Hamburg, Köln/NRW, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich) are planning to attend. Our Yale Alumni Association representative, Bob Bonds (old friend of the club!) will be attending from New Haven, and we've planned a day that combines a little bit of club business with a lot of social fun. New this year will be our regional Signal groups and local activity planning. The meeting is open to everyone, and we hope you can make it to Munich for any or all of the planned activities:

12:00-2:00   Official AGM at Amerikahaus Munich with a catered lunch for all courtesy of the YAA

Afternoon  Free time for either Munich's Frühlingsfest together or a museum tour - or both! Weather depending and tbd as it gets closer and you make your preferences known. The Frühlingsfest is Okoberfest's little sister. A bit smaller (and usually warmer), there are rides, food and drink for all ages. Our meeting location, Amerikahaus, will have an exciting photography exhibit, and is in Munich's museum areal, so we'll plan based on weather and your wishes.

Dinner will be in one of Munich's downtown beer halls (where they also serve wine and non-alcoholic drinks!)

Details and the official agenda to follow, but please do save the date now, and if you are interested in a homestay in Munich, or hotel suggestions, please let me know: president@yaleclub.de

I'm excited that we have so many regional volunteers motivated to add some fun events to our local calendars. Come and meet them - hope to see you there!

Boola Boola,

Bartley
